Presenter Biographies:
Steven D. Hollon, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at Vanderbilt University where he is an active clinical investigator in the nature and treatment of depression. He is past-president of Association for Behaviour Therapy, recipient of the Aaron Beck Award, the Distinguished Scientist Award, and George Miller Award.
Bruce E. Wampold, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair of Department of Counseling Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work involves understanding counseling and psychotherapy from empirical, historical, methodological, and anthropological perspectives. He is past-president of the Division of Counseling Psychology of the American Psychological Association.
Michael J. Lambert, Ph.D., is Professor and Endowed Chair of Psychology Brigham Young University. He is an active researcher in the effect of the psychotherapy relationship on treatment outcome and has been in private psychotherapy practice throughout his career. He is the recipient of the Distinguished Psychologist Award from the Division of Psychotherapy of the American Psychological Association.
Arthur C. Bohart, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology California State University Dominguez Hills and Saybrook Graduate School. He has published extensively on the empirically-supported treatment controversy, the client as an active self-healer, and empathy.
Larry E. Beutler, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus at the University of California. He has published extensively in the areas of psychotherapy, assessment, and psychopathology. He is past-president of the Society of Clinical Psychology and the Division of Psychotherapy of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Psychotherapy Research.
John C. Norcross, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology and Distinguished University Fellow at the University of Scranton. He has published extensively in the areas of psychotherapy integration, the stages of change, and self-change. He also has a part-time private psychotherapy practice. He is past-president of the Division of Psychotherapy of the American Psychological Association.
Leon VandeCreek, Ph.D., is Professor at
the Wright State School of Professional Psychology. He has published
widely in the areas of ethics, mental health and the law, and professional
issues. He is past-president of the Division of Psychotherapy of the
American Psychological Association.
Abe Wolf, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Psychology, School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. He has published numerous articles is the area of health psychology. He is president of the Division of Psychotherapy.
